Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of DreamMap (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1 · What DreamMap is

DreamMap is a private dream journal with AI-grounded analysis. It is a reflective tool, not a medical or therapeutic service. Nothing in the app should be construed as medical, psychological, or clinical advice. If something in your dreams is causing you concern, please speak with a qualified professional.

2 · Your account

To use DreamMap you create an account with your email address. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app at Profile → Delete account.

3 · Your content

The dreams, notes, and tags you create remain yours. You grant DreamMap the limited right to store this content under your account and process it to provide the Service (storage, search, AI analysis, pattern detection). We do not use your content for any purpose outside of providing the Service to you.

4 · AI-generated content

DreamMap uses Google's Gemini API to produce dream readings, weekly insights, and pattern analyses. AI-generated text is interpretive, not authoritative. It may be incomplete, draw on outdated framings, or misread a symbol. We pair every reading with citations to the interpretive tradition it's drawing on so you can verify and read further; we encourage you to do so.

5 · What you agree not to do

Reverse-engineer or copy the Service's source.
Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.
Attempt to access another user's account or data.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6 · Service availability

We make a sincere effort to keep the Service available and accurate, but DreamMap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect damages or loss of dream data; please keep your own copy of anything you'd be sad to lose.

7 · Account termination

You can terminate your account anytime from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — typically only in cases of abuse, fraud, or attempts to harm the Service or other users.

8 · Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our practices change. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
