Privacy Policy

DreamMap is operated by VisionSync (the "Service", "we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. The short version: your dreams are yours, stored privately under your own account, and never shared.

1 · What we collect

Account info. Your email address, used to sign you in.
Your dream content. Text you type or dictate, tags you add, notes you attach to dreams, and any sleep-quality information you provide.
AI-generated readings. Symbol interpretations, weekly insights, and motif analyses produced by our analysis pipeline, stored against your account so you can revisit them.
Diagnostic data. Crash reports and basic usage metrics, to keep the app running well. Not linked to your dream content.

2 · What we do not collect

Voice audio. Voice dictation is transcribed locally on your device by Apple's Speech framework. The audio itself is never uploaded.
Cross-app tracking. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Sold data. We do not sell, rent, or share your dream content with third parties for marketing.
Location data. We do not request or store device location.

3 · Where your data lives

Account and dream data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Auth) under Google Cloud's enterprise data terms.

AI analysis is performed by Google Gemini via our private API. Each request includes the relevant dream text plus a small amount of recent context from your library — enough to detect patterns across dreams. Google's enterprise Gemini terms specify that this content is not used to train their models.

All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

4 · Your rights

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app, by going to Profile → Delete account. This removes every dream, tag, badge, weekly reading, and your authentication record from our servers. The action is irreversible.

You can also request a copy of your data, or ask any question about how it's handled, by emailing support@visionsync.com.

5 · Children

DreamMap is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6 · Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be announced in the app, with a link back to this page so you can see what changed and when.
